Brewery Lights at Anheuser Busch in St. Louis, Missouri

Brewery Lights - FrontWe had a wonderful time at the Anheuser Busch Holiday Brewery Lights in St. Louis while visiting family over Thanksgiving in November of 2014. I am a little sad that we wouldn’t be able to go this year again, but I am beyond excited to share that the location here in Fort Collins, CO is also doing the Holiday Brewery Lights this year too! I can’t wait to go and see what it will be like this year. For those of you in the Saint Louis area, or if you are going to be in the area, it is running this year on Thursdays thru Sundays from November 17th – December 30th.

Brewery Lights - GiftsThis is a truly amazing and festive event with over half a million lights adorning the Germanic-style red brick buildings.  With the $10 entrance fee, guests of all ages can soak in the holiday spirit while walking along Pestalozzi Street and admiring these iconic buildings up close. Previously this was a free event, but now they charge the $10 fee. It’s not a lot and you do get a beer as well as free parking.

Brewery Lights - BldgIf you have kids with you, or just feel like being a kid, they had a s’mores station with warm cozy fire pits for roasting s’mores. The s’mores kits are $5.00. Even if you don’t want to make s’mores, you can still reserve a private fire port for relaxing with friends. You can have up to 8 guests and includes 8 s’mores kits. The price this year is $400.00, which seems like a lot for a few hours of Fire Pit fun. Sadly it went up in price, big time, since the last time we were there. I guess another example of how bad prices are going up everywhere. 🙁  Here are the perks of the private firepit include:

Brewery Lights - Tree

  • • Access to the *NEW* heated tent & Private Restrooms
  • • Private Fire Pit Seating for to 8-12 people
  • • Complimentary Beer/Soft Drinks throughout the evening (In Fire Pit area only)
  • • Brewery Lights Souvenir Cups for each guest
  • • One (1) Complimentary Ornament & Bag for your group
  • • Food Package: Buffet & S’mores kits
  • • VIP Preferred Parking

Brewery Lights - Rita BarAnyway, there is something for everyone in the family at this wonderful event, but it is more fun if you are 21 to partake in free beer samples! How can you go wrong? 🙂  If you are over 21 you receive a wristband as you walk in which is used for a free sample. When we went they had such beers as Budweiser, Bud Light, Stella Artois, Stella Artois Cidre, and a variety of the Bud Light Lime-A-Rita drinks. They were all delicious and left us wanting more, lol. We were feeling good and decided to take this cheesy photo, lol.

Brewery Lights - UsBesides the beer sampling, there was probably one more event that was even more popular, the Clydesdale Photos. This was obviously a crowded and busy attraction. If you want to see them outside of this event, you can see them on the tour as well as Grants Farm.  Another photo opportunity that seemed to be quite popular was a huge snow globe. I don’t know if they will have it again, but I assume they will since it was such a huge hit the year we visited this event.  We didn’t want to wait in this long line either but had fun watching other people post and take pictures. It really helped us get into the Christmas spirit.

Brewery Lights - HorsesThe one other thing I wanted to share was the Biergarten which is a great place to grab some food and a beer while taking a few minutes to warm up between walking from one area to another. This year you have five unique food stations serving chili, chicken tenders and chips, brats and chips, toasted ravioli, and pretzels with dipping sauces. Food tokens are $5 each. The Biergarten is also a great place to take some inside pictures with decorated trees and wreaths.  There are also many other food packages and VIP packages available. Check out their site for more information.

Brewery Lights - BiergartenLike I said earlier, I am so excited to see that the brewery lights are also going to be held in Fort Collins this year as well. They will be having the beer sampling, a s’mores station, and a Biergarten buffet. It looks like they will be sampling Budweiser, Stella Artois, Shock Top, and a few others. Check back soon for an update on our experience in Fort Collins. Here is a link to the Budweiser Brewery website where you can get more information as well as purchase your tickets. Marry Christmas!

  1. Don’t care for beer but LOVE me some Christmas lights! I would definitely enjoy visiting this site. Especially since St. Louis and I have a bone to pick. See, when we visited, the weather turned from not so great (overcast) to a downpour. So I need to come back and take pictures of the Gateway Arch with blue skies!

I’m surprised to learn there is a Pestalozzi Street? Pestalozzi was a fellow Swiss guy 🙂

Hope your Fort Collins experience will be just as wonderful – tag me if you end up blogging about it!

  2. What beautiful decorations and lights! I don’t drink but I love watching the Clydesdales whenever I see them on TV. I’d love to visit the Brewery Lights!
