Last Chance Train Tour – Historic Helena Montana

Last Chance Train Tour - TrainWhile on a road trip to Helena Montana to see the capitol building in September of 2019, we decided to do something a little touristy and took a tour via the Last Chance Tour Train. It seemed a little silly to do this at first since we had our car, but it was a great way to learn more about the history of the town and why it became known as Helena in the first place.

Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad – All Aboard!

Durango - Silverton 1There is nothing like a train trip, except a scenic fall train trip in October for your birthday. Gene and I went to Durango in October of 2009 and took a train trip on the Durango – Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. It was phenomenal and breathtaking. I couldn’t believe the amazing views around every turn. The best part was that the tickets were a gift from a customer at my former company.  That just made it even sweeter.

The Dole Plantation on Oahu, Hawaii – Our Amazing Pineapple Experience

Dole Plantation-BldgWhile we were on Oahu in December of 2016 we decided to do another local tourist thing (we had already done Pearl Harbor, and the State Capitol) and we visited the Dole Plantation. It was a lot different than what I was expecting. Then again, I guess I really didn’t know what to expect. What I was expecting was the beautiful scenery around the plantation. I wasn’t disappointed. Anderson Farms in Erie – A Colorado Fall Tradition
