Bayside Marketplace Entertainment Experience – Miami, Florida

Bayside Marketplace - Sign

For New Year’s Eve of 2020-2021, we were in Miami Florida and had a great time. I will never forget our experience at the Sawgrass Everglades Boat Tour. Truly an amazing experience.  However, one of the places we kept coming back to visit was the Bayside Marketplace. It was a great place to hang out, do a little shopping, people watch, and see the several Christmas trees that were still up. One of them even included an Island Santa, lol. Thought that was really funny but fitting for the area. We enjoyed walking around, grabbing some lunch, and just enjoying the beautiful views of the ocean. Man, I miss that being in a land-locked state.

American Girl Place in Manhattan, New York – Adorable Tiny Dolls

American Girl Place - BldgI was talking with a friend the other day who was trying to find a specific doll for her granddaughter’s upcoming birthday. It immediately reminded me of the miniature dolls I saw at the American Girl Place store while in Manhattan in October of 2015. Gene, a local friend, and I checked out their amazing store when we were in Manhattan last year. We had been to the Empire State Building, and Rockefeller Plaza earlier that day and saw this place while we were walking around. Not sure why I actually walked into the store, except maybe that my niece just had a baby and she looks like a tiny little doll.  Then again, I am probably biased, lol. Some of it may have been pure curiosity as I had never seen one in person. Whatever the reason, probably multiple reasons,  I loved seeing these little 18 inch dolls and decided to share our experience looking around the store. Hammonds Candies in Denver, Colorado – Feel Like a Kid Again

Hammonds Candies - Candy CanesI must have been hungry today when I was working on my blog because I decided to share a company that has been here in Denver since 1920. According to their website: Over the past 90 years, the “Mile High” city of Denver, Colorado, has seen a number of fine chocolate and candy manufacturers come and go, but one special company is still very much in business. That business is Hammonds Candies. I have to say that I am very glad they are still here today. Continue reading “Hammonds Candies in Denver, Colorado – Feel Like a Kid Again”

Lego Store in New York, NY – Only the Best is Good Enough

Lego SignOn our recent trip to NYC, we enjoyed checking out the Union Square Holiday Market as well as many famous landmarks. So we had to make sure to go visit the Flatiron Building. While in the area, we saw the Lego store right across the street. My little 5-year-old nephew is obsessed with Lego products, so of course, I had to go in and see what he would like. It was close to Christmas after all, lol

M&M’s World Times Square – Manhattan, New York

M&M’s World - CandiesI love sharing stories and pictures from our travels. It helps remind me the feelings I felt while there, and I get to share our experience with other travelers or those wanting to travel. One such place I enjoyed Christmas in 2018 was visiting the M&M’s World Store in Times Square.  We had been in the area on a previous trip but never made it into the store.  We were too busy visiting the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty, lol.  So glad we did on our last trip. It was fantastic and so exciting to share our visit on my blog.
