In June of 2019 we were heading to Omaha for a few days before I continue on to Des Moines, IA for the LWMS convention. We have been through Omaha once before, but never explored the area. We did go to watch an Angels vs Royals AAA affiliate teams play a game at Rosenblatt Stadium before it was torn down to make more room for the zoo. Other than that, it is a new city to us. Thus I decided to do some research and find some fun things to do while we are in the area. While a few charge a small fee, many of them are free. Phoenix, Arizona – Free Things to do in the Valley of the Sun
In February 2019 I spent a few days in Phoenix Arizona to attend a few spring training games. While preparing for my trip, I did some research and shared some of the best attractions in Phoenix. While I was thrilled to be able to see several museums such as the Arizona Science Center, Heard Museum, and the Phoenix Art Museum, I was also trying to stay on a budget. With that in mind, I was also looking for some free things to do. Luckily I have found quite a few free things to do in Phoenix. Some of the activities or attractions are inside and some are outside. The Aquarium of the Pacific – Long Beach, California
I love aquariums and have enjoyed visiting the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach many times when we lived in California. Gene and I have had a great time exploring the aquarium on our own, but have been with many friends and family. No matter who we are with, I love watching all the amazing and unique fish. OdySea Aquarium – An Oceanic Adventure in Phoenix, Arizona
My niece Alex and I had an incredible time in the Phoenix area in March of 2017. We had a great time running around South Mountain Park and the Open Air Farmers Market, but we especially enjoyed our visit to the OdySea Aquarium in Scottsdale. It is wonderful and full of wonder. 🙂 The last aquarium I had been to was the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, many years ago, so I was really looking forward to our visit. Since neither of us had been here, I did a little research on their website before we left. I found out that they had only been open since September 3, 2016, and was I was excited when I read about all their exhibits. Sea Life Kansas City Aquarium, MO – Check Out Their Aquatic Creatures
While in the state of Missouri I was able to tour the wonderful Sea Life Kansas City Aquarium. I had been in the area before to tour the Hallmark Visitor Center, but we didn’t have a chance to visit the aquarium. Thus, I was determined not to miss it on this trip.
