Saint Louis Pet Friendly Places to Visit While in Missouri

Saint Louis Pet Friendly -Dog ParkAs I stated in a previous post, 8 FREE things to do in St. Louis, we were getting ready to plan a trip to Saint Louis and were looking for a few things to do.  It was a road trip, so we were bringing our fur babies with us on our trip.  With that in mind, I wanted to find a few free Saint Louis pet-friendly things we could do with them that are also fun and enjoyable for us as well. Here are eight parks and places where they are welcome that seem the most interesting to us. Of course each group and family are different, but I am sure you can find something the whole group will enjoy. Hope you find this list of dog parks, etc helpful. Brewery Lights at Anheuser Busch in St. Louis, Missouri

Brewery Lights - FrontWe had a wonderful time at the Anheuser Busch Holiday Brewery Lights in St. Louis while visiting family over Thanksgiving in November of 2014. I am a little sad that we wouldn’t be able to go this year again, but I am beyond excited to share that the location here in Fort Collins, CO is also doing the Holiday Brewery Lights this year too! I can’t wait to go and see what it will be like this year. For those of you in the Saint Louis area, or if you are going to be in the area, it is running this year on Thursdays thru Sundays from November 17th – December 30th.

Ellen Clark Sculpture Dog Park 1

Ellen Clark Sculpture Dog Park

Late summer we were able to spend a week in St. Louis with our puppies and had a great time. While in the area we were able to visit a small section of the Saint Louis University, as well as the Ellen Clark Sculpture Dog Park. It was nowhere as large as Laumeier Sculpture Park,  but it was still interesting. Continue reading “Ellen Clark Sculpture Dog Park and St Louis University Fountain – Missouri”

Gateway Arch in St. Louis, MO – Gateway to the West

Gateway Arch 3If you’ve ever been to St. Louis, most likely you’ve been to the beautiful Gateway Arch and Jefferson National Expansion Memorial. It was definitely on our to-do list the first time we were in Missouri. We took the 630-foot ride to the top of this world-famous stainless steel monument and saw the most amazing views of the city. The Laumeier Sculpture Park – Saint Louis, Missouri

Laumeier Sculpture Park - SignOriginally this was posted on my previous blog while on vacation, September 20, 2017 – I am sitting here in our wonderful little Airbnb place near Cherokee Row, St. Louis, and looking at pictures I took at the Missouri Botanical Gardens while Gene takes an afternoon nap. We have been to St. Louis a few times, but never make it to the gardens.  It was wonderful to finally check it out. However, one of the most interesting things we have done up to this point is the Laumeier Sculpture Park.  Continue reading “The Laumeier Sculpture Park – Saint Louis, Missouri”

Missouri Botanical Garden – This Needs to Be on Your To-Do List

Missouri-Botanical-Garden-15Last summer we had a great time in St. Louis visiting family and friends. One thing that wasn’t originally on our to-do list was the Missouri Botanical Garden. However, after I read that it was the second largest garden in North America, behind only that of the New York Botanical Garden, we decided to visit. So glad we did. I took so many pictures that I couldn’t possibly share on here, thus I created a short 2 min video below with some of the pictures we took during our visit.  Continue reading “Missouri Botanical Garden – This Needs to Be on Your To-Do List”

Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center – Great Falls, Montana

Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center - Bldg

In September, 2019, Gene and I headed to Montana for the TBEX conference, but also to explore the beautiful state. On the plus side, we also got to see my niece who had recently moved to Great Falls. They were amazing, but I was also looking forward to seeing the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. This may not be on everyone’s to-do list while visiting the area, but I am related to John Colter who was part of the expedition. Thus, I was very interested and excited to be able to explore this museum. I wasn’t sure what to expect when we first arrived, but I was surprised at how big the center really is.
