Czechoslovak Hussite Church of Our Lady – Old Town, Prague

Czechoslovak Hussite Church - Outside-1

One of the first things we wanted to see in Prague in May of 2018, besides the Charles Bridge, was Old Town Square.  I really wanted to see the Astrooligal clock, but it was not working due to repairs and renovations. Sadly this seemed to happen in every country we visited. Even though we didn’t get to see the clock working, I was quite impressed by the Czechoslovak Hussite Church.  Also known as The Church of Our Lady before Tyn, it is most likely the second signature landmark in Old Town Square. Underground Cities Around the World

Living in Colorado for a few years now I have heard some of the controversies about whether Denver has an underground city. I did some searching and couldn’t find anything concrete, however, I did find quite a bit of information about other cities around the world that do have underground cities. Thus, I decided to share this information and hope you may find it interesting too. If you know of or want to share other underground cities, please feel free to share in the comments below.

Prague, Czech Republic – My Top 7 Free Things on Our to-do List

Prague - City1In May of 2018, we were spending a couple of weeks in Europe for our 20th anniversary.  While we were looking forward to spending a week in Germany, and part of a week in Vienna, one of the places I was really looking forward to spending a few days in was Prague. This city looks so amazing and interesting. I couldn’t wait to explore it. As with the other cities, we have a few things planned but also wanted to mix in a few free things while in the area. Thus I eagerly did some research and found quite a few free things. Thus I decided to share with all of you in case you are planning your own trip to Prague. Here is the list of my top 7 free things we hope to do on our trip (in no particular order). I will also let you know which places we visited and share a little about our experience while visiting. Pilsner Urquell Brewery – Our Unique Brewery Tour

Pilsner Urquell - BuildingWe had an amazing time in the Czech Republic while in Europe in May of 2018.  For two weeks we ran around Austria, Germany as well as the Czech Republic. However, we really enjoyed our time in Prague (Praha) and I loved seeing the Charles Bridge and the Czechoslovak Hussite Church of Our Lady in Old Town. Sadly we were only there a couple of days and headed south to Germany. However, on our way south we made a detour and visited the city of Pilsner (Pilsen) to tour the Pilsner Urquell Brewery.

We have been on quite a few brewery tours, but this one was quite unique. Above is a Youtube video I made about our tour. Hope you enjoy some pictures that are not here in the post.

Charles Bridge in Prague, Czech Republic – Our Wonderful Experience

Charles Bridge 1As you may have noticed in several other posts, in May of 2018 we spent two weeks in Europe. We had a great time running around Germany and Austria. We also spent a couple of days in Prague, Czech Republic. There were a few things I wanted to see while in the area. However, the Charles Bridge was on the top of my list. It looked amazing and couldn’t wait to check it out. Sadly the weather was unpredictable. It was hot and sunny one minute, then overcast and cloudy the next. We made the most of it though and took as many pictures as I could when I could. Continue reading “Charles Bridge in Prague, Czech Republic – Our Wonderful Experience”

Danube River Views in Vienna, Austria – Unique and Amazing

Danube-River 2During our trip to Europe in May of 2018, we were able to visit Austria and check out their city building, the Rathaus. However, one of the things I was looking forward to while visiting Austria was seeing the Danube River. I don’t know if it intrigued me because it was in Europe, or if it was because it flows through more countries than any other river in the world. All I know it that is was unique and I couldn’t wait to see it. Continue reading “Danube River Views in Vienna, Austria – Unique and Amazing”
