Dachau - SignAs you may have seen over the last few weeks, we spent part of the month of May in Europe. One of the areas we stayed in the most was Munich, Germany. While there, we felt like we had to go and visit Dachau Concentration Camp. We had heard so much about it in history class, and in the media, but had to see what it was all about. Of course, we also planned a visit to Hofbrauhuas knowing we would probably need a happier evening, and something to clear the palette so to speak. We were definitely right on that assessment. The Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico – A Sad Ending

A while back I shared our visit to the Bacardi Rum Plant, and today I want to share our experience at the Arecibo Observatory when we visited in May of 2004.

Royal Gorge Bridge and Park – Cañon City, Colorado

Royal Gorge Bridge - Visitor CenterWe have done quite a few amusing and exciting things while traveling, but sometimes we forget to do things in our own backyard, state, etc. For our anniversary in May of 2017  do something we have wanted to do since moving to Colorado 10 years ago. Perrine Bridge – Twin Falls, Idaho. Majestic Scenery

Perrine Bridge - 2 The Perrine Bridge is a spectacular bridge which spans the majestic Snake River Canyon on the northern edge of Twin Falls. It is 1,500 feet long and 486 feet above the Snake River. The four-lane bridge has pedestrian walkways with views of the river, sheer cliffs, the Blue Lakes, waterfalls, and can’t be missed as you come into town. It is jaw dropping beautiful. Microsoft Visitor Center Redmond, Washington – Vision of the Future

Microsoft-BallIn May of 2016 we spent a few days in Seattle on our way home from Vancouver, Canada. While there we had to make a point of visiting the Microsoft campus and Visitors Center. As a person in the IT field, this was very high on my list and was one of the first things we did between visiting the Boeing plant and the Museum of Flight which were on the top of Gene’s to-do list.
