Mount Angel, Oregon – A Bavarian Town in the US

Mount Angel - WeingardenLast September we were in Eugene, Oregon and had a great time exploring the area. We really enjoyed checking out several covered bridges in the area and you can see my post on the link. On the way back to Portland to catch our late afternoon flight, we had to check out the cute little German town named Mount Angel. I had heard about it before, but wasn’t sure exactly where it was. I was very happy to find out it wasn’t too far out of our way to stop in for a brat and a bier before we headed home!

The Wien Rathaus City Hall in Vienna, Austria is Spectacular

RathausIn May of 2018, we took a two-week trip through Munich, Prague, and Vienna. While many European cities have amazing architecture I really enjoyed our visit to the Wien Rathaus City Hall in Vienna. It was one of the free things I mentioned in my post 7 Free Things to do in Vienna.  It is beautiful and definitely much larger than I envisioned before our visit.  I loved that it was built in gothic style, with a tower similar to gothic cathedrals.
