End of Summer Tour – 8-Days in NYC, Niagara Falls and Washington D C.

End of Summer Tour - Summer

I am happily looking for to saying GOODBYE to summer as I do not like the heat or humidity. I am gladly looking forward to the fall season and the crisp fall weather. However, I know I am not like everyone, and many or sad that summer is ending and want to extend it as long as they can. Why not do an end of summer tour right here in the US? I found this fun-looking 8-day tour through Trafalgar where you will spend time in NYC, Niagara Falls, and Washington DC. FYI, this trip does take you to Canada so you can see both sides of the falls, so you will need a passport. Here are the details. NYC Christmas 1

NYC Christmas Visit

The holidays are upon us and I have to say, I LOVE CHRISTMAS! I love the lights, the music, the food, and especially the meaning of Christmas. They are always exciting, but Christmas of 2018 was especially epic. We were happy to be able to experience the NYC Christmas season in mid-December!  We couldn’t wait to see the lights, trees, window decorations, and everything NYC is known for during Christmas. I was not disappointed. It was more than I thought it would be. The tree at Rockefeller Center is something you HAVE to make sure to see while in the area. Rockefeller Center in Manhattan, New York – A NYC Must See

Rockefeller Center-1In October of 2015 we able to take our first trip to New York City and finally see Rockefeller Center and Plaza, as well as the Skating Rink. It was a little too early for the Christmas tree, but it was still incredible. What I didn’t realize was how large the area is. It is located in the center of Midtown Manhattan, spanning the area between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue, and is a complex of 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres.  I also didn’t know that it was declared a New York City Landmark on April 23, 1985, and a National Historic Landmark on December 23, 1987. Lego Store in New York, NY – Only the Best is Good Enough

Lego SignOn our recent trip to NYC, we enjoyed checking out the Union Square Holiday Market as well as many famous landmarks. So we had to make sure to go visit the Flatiron Building. While in the area, we saw the Lego store right across the street. My little 5-year-old nephew is obsessed with Lego products, so of course, I had to go in and see what he would like. It was close to Christmas after all, lol

Union Square Holiday Market – An Annual New York Tradition

Union Square 1Last year we spent a wonderful week in New York City. The city is always amazing, but it is truly magical at Christmas. Besides the beautiful tree at Rockefeller Center and decorations everywhere, they also have many Christmas Markets. We were lucky enough to be able to explore two of them while we were there, Bryant Park and Union Square. They were both incredible, but I think I liked the one at Union Square a little more.
