Hyatt Resorts – The Hyatt Regency Orlando, Florida

Hyatt Regency Orlando - BldgSince becoming members of the Hyatt Rewards Program we have stayed at many including two of my favorites the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa and the Grand Hyatt here in Colorado. However, each hotel we stay at and visit is just as wonderful as the previous location. The same can be said about our latest excursion to the Hyatt Regency Orlando, in Orlando Florida in June of 2017.   We were in Orlando for the LWMS convention that happened to be held in the convention center connected to the hotel. So not only was the hotel amazing, but it was also quite convenient.

Hyatt Regency Orlando - Front DeskSadly we were quite busy the whole time we were there and didn’t get to use many of the amenities, but the hotel was incredible. They have three swimming pools, a waterslide, waterfalls, and a kiddie play area. We didn’t have any kids with us, but it was nice for the many families visiting the many theme parks, water parks, museums, and sports venues along with the craziness that is International Drive, lol Not sure how this hotel compares to others in the area, but it was opened on November 1, 19886 and is still beautiful.

Hyatt Regency Orlando - Grotto PoolBesides the amenities mentioned above, they have 1,639 guestrooms including 192 luxurious suites, 315,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, Seven restaurants and bars, a Business Center, private cabanas with kid-friendly features, The Spa and salon, 24-hour StayFit Gym, Golf Concierge service, Bicycle rentals, National Car Rental and Alamo Car Rental onsite, as well as Laundry and dry cleaning services. They even have dog-friendly accommodations if you bring Fido with you.

Hyatt Regency Orlando - RoomThis hotel is very large and was quite confusing at first. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful when I had a few questions or needed directions. The pools were amazing but sadly didn’t get to try them all out. Even though the Grotto Pool looked amazing, and I loved the waterfall, it was the busiest one with all the families and kids. I like to do laps when I am swimming, and that wouldn’t have been possible at the Grotto.

Hyatt Regency Orlando - Sitting AreaWe didn’t have dinner at any of the seven restaurants as we met friends from the convention, as well as in the Orlando area. However, I heard they were wonderful from some of the other convention attendees.  Like I said they have seven and each one is unique.

Hyatt Regency Orlando - PoolI did have a drink at the Lobby Bar and it was very peaceful with the waterfall flowing.  At least I think that was the one called the Lobby Bar, lol. Again, it was a very large complex. Wherever it was, it was very peaceful and enjoyable.

Hyatt Regency Orlando - BarI enjoyed our time at the hotel, but sadly, it went too fast for us to really enjoy all the wonderful amenities the Hyatt Regency Orlando has to offer. The convention was wonderful, but it kept us a little busy. Hopefully the next time we are there, we will be less busy and be able to relax and play more. Whether it’s for business or pleasure, you will have a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Regency Orlando. Here is a link to their website with more information.
